History
G-Tech Contractors, Inc. was founded in 2003, due to the growing need of experienced professionals with vast knowledge on the installation and construction of mechanically stabilized earth structures and soil stabilization techniques. Its founder, José M. Muñoz, a Civil Engineering graduate of the University of Maryland, has been involved with this innovative technology since 1983 through his other company, JM Caribbean Distributors, Inc., a company dedicated to the promotion and sale of soil stabilization and erosion control products, throughout the Caribbean.
Since 2003, G-Tech Contractors has been involved in the design and construction of MSE Walls in excess of 225,000 sf., in residential, commercial and industrial applications. We have earned the confidence and respect of our clients through a high-level of customer service, quality workmanship and professionalism. These high standards are achieved through the commitment and efforts of a highly-experienced staff following the principles of quality management. Our goal is to provide our customers with a product that not only meets their needs structurally and aesthetically, but also exceeds their expectations, thereby insuring repeat business and a long lasting client relationship.
Our motto
We at G-Tech Contractors provide our customers with the experience, unparalleled service and the commitment to excellence required in the reinforced soil structure field. In the past four years we have become the largest design/build Keystone Retaining Wall System construction firm in Puerto Rico. Our combined staff of G-Tech Contractors and JM Caribbean Distributors is composed of three graduate Civil Engineers, one of them with a Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering. The rest of the staff is composed of two Civil Engineering students and over 20 office and field employees committed to excellence. With our experienced personnel, G-Tech Contractors is positioned to quickly respond to engineering related issues during construction, thus providing a cost effective and superior final product for our clients. We believe that providing our clients with the best engineering support and on-site team enables us to meet and exceed their expectations, creating a positive experience. Our Engineering personnel often work directly with Design Engineers, Architects and Developers to provide the engineering support and the best cost effective alternative for their project. It has been our experience that, repeat business is directly linked to the service provided during the design process as well as during the construction.
