Soil Stabilization
- Chemical or mechanical treatment designed to increase or maintain the stability of a mass of soil to improve its engineering properties. Lime, fly ash or cement are typical chemical stabilization materials. Geotextiles and geogrids are examples of mechanical types of soil stabilization.
